20 Days After 2nd Fraxel Treatment

20 days after the 2nd fraxel treatment and all is well! I am very happy with the results so far and can hardly wait to get the others done! My scars are much improved as is the entire texture of my skin. I am so happy I am getting this chance to make my complexion better. I do as instructed and use sunblock every single day, and avoid the sun as much as possible. I bought some hats in case I have to get out in it for an extended period of time, but mostly I just DON'T do it! Loving it people! My next treatment is on the 17th (next Friday)...so excited. :)

Morning After 2nd Fraxel Treatment

All together now: RED (lol)

This is the morning after my second fraxel treatment. I am more red than last time, but have about the same amount of swelling. The Biafin was applied immediately after the procedure and I think it helped so much to take away that initial burning. It doesn't take it away, but it diminishes it tremendously.

The doctor went up to the highest level of strength on my cheek areas because I tolerated the procedure so well and honestly it was no worse than the first one at a lesser strength. I feel fine but my eyes are watering a lot! lol I am guessing it is due to the swelling around my eyes.

The texture of my skin was completely different after just the first treatment and just has continued to improve as the weeks have gone by so I can hardly wait to see the results of this one!

UPDATE:
This afternoon my skin is already feeling scaly. It took several days for this to happen the first time. Think I might start peeling tomorrow.

Fraxel Day 6 First of Five Treatments

No news today. My swelling is almost all gone now. I will post one pic tomorrow marking the one week since first treatment, then wait one week to post another. This week is the healing week, then over the next week or so I am supposed to start growing new healthy cells and collagen. Yah!

Day 5 Post Fraxel

Not much to add here folks. Feel a little swollen still
but healing well. Still using my products daily. I will add pics daily until Friday (one week mark), then just one or two more in the next week. My next treatment is May 20, 2011. Go me! Still not wearing face make up this week. I don't want to risk clogging up my skin. Will start wearing mineral powder next week.

4 Days After Post Fraxel First Treatment

Not a lot to report today. My face is healing very well. I know it has healed quickly and not peeled much because the doctor prescibed me PruTect, which is used for burn victims who are getting skin grafts. Trina asked me this morning, "I thought you are not supposed to wear make-up." I said, "I am wearing any (only eyes and lips)." Made my day! Doing well and don't feel like my face looks horrible for work. I am not putting on powder or anything until next week. If it still looks good, I may even just use eye make-up and do lips!

72 Hours after First Fraxel Treatment

Okay, this is me in the raw! I am having a hard time getting good lighting for some reason but I tried to do a close up as much as possible without freaking anyone out! My face was red all day but less so this afternoon. I am very itchy. If you look at my chin and going up one side of my cheek you can see brown areas. This is the skin that is dying and hopefully about to peel off.

I did as I said I would for work. Went in and closed my door and mini blinds. Everyone was really considerate. They started closing their too! lol  Of course as luck would have it they had a meeting in the conference room and couldn't get a connection to the internet and needed my help. Ug! So, I had to come out of my shell and help.

I took a care kit to work with me. It had my face wash, wash cloths, prescription cream, lotion, and SPF 45 Sunblock. I used it all day today so I am really greasy. My hair is greasy. Yuk. While I was washing my face the skin started to come off! Yah! I will be glad when I finally do the peel and get it over with. It looks like I am growing a beard or something. My face is really itchy too.

I will upload another pic tomorrow. That's all for now, folks!

40 Hours After First Fraxel Treatment

I was a little suprised I woke up swollen again today. The swelling is now generalized and not just mostly in my eye sockets (glass half full). Redness reduced tremendously. No bad side effects on this treatment. My skin is starting to feel like alligator skin so I am guessing it is about to start peeling. Yah..I guess. You can see the generalized dry, flaky look all over my face. I had just mosturized! Soaks it up like a sponge.

I do plan on working tomorrow. I will draw the mini blinds and keep my door shut most likely. I am not really vain, but not necessarily wanting a big display of my Fraxel at work you know. I will probably be sloughing skin all day. I hope we do not have meetings but have a feeling we will. Oh boy.

I will upload a picture a bit later this morning. I am having coffee now and need to get awake a bit more. I am not in pain or anything at all. I am getting itchy though. I really do not like scratching my face so I try to use a rubbing techinque with the back of my hand so I don't put a big scratch on my face.

More later with photos.
